Acupuncture Orthopedics: The Knee Joint Complex
An orthopedic acupuncture approach to treat pain and injury of the knee
APPROVED FOR NCCAOM 14 PDA's
This two day seminar focuses on the evaluation and treatment of common musculoskeletal injuries that affect the knee.
Effective therapy requires examination and analysis of the structural, anatomical and lifestyle factors that either caused or precipitated the injury. These problems will be examined in relation to postural or bony anomalies, degenerative conditions, and musculoskeletal imbalance, dysfunction, trauma and/or repetitive stress.
The practitioner will learn to integrate knowledge of the anatomy and biomechanics of the Knee Complex with Oriental Medical Theory into an effective acupuncture treatment that impacts both structural and constitutional imbalances.
Knee Injuries that will be discussed include: Tendonitis, Bursitis, Osteoarthritis, Post Knee Replacement Management, Patellofemoral Joint Dysfunction, Iliotibial Band Syndrome, General knee pain. Postural and chronic muscular imbalances that contribute to and perpetuate injury
